Hello everyone! Today’s post topic is about my favorite subject. Well, this semester was composed of five subjects, these are: Biometry of ecosystems, mathematics, statistics, Genetic bases of biodiversity and my favorite: processes and interactions in plant formations. I consider it was the most difficult subject of this semester, because we had to learn a lot of contents in a short time, but, even so, I liked this subject because I could understand the impact of biotic and abiotic factors on the functioning of plants and their adaptation to the environment. Some contents of this subject were: water relations, effect of the soil in plant formations, interactions between species (such as mutualism, facilitation, competition and parasitism), wind action in the forests, among others. Regarding the activities of the subject, I had theoretical activities, but also practical activities, such as: the effect of sunlight on the regeneration of plants and successional dynamics. This semester ...
Hi everyone! Today’s post topic is about my future job. Well, in addition to always having liked nature and to learn about it, one of the reasons why I decided to study forestry was that in the future I didn’t want to do a job in an office, because I really don’t like the idea of always working in the same place. That's why I think that when working on something related to nature one is constantly knowing new places and working outdoors. I love to travel, so I would very much like to have the opportunity to travel in my future job. My idea is to be able to work in a park or national reserve in the south of Chile or abroad, in places like Switzerland, U.S.A, Finland, among many others. Regarding the salary, I would only be satisfied with enough to live well, I think that if you work on what you really like this aspect is secondary, I don’t say it is not important, but if you are passionate about what you do, the most important thing is to be happy doing that job. So I will striv...
Blog: Opinions 1.Having pets at home? The animals are excellent companions, I believe that having a pet at home is very beneficial for the human being, since they can alleviate loneliness, improve our mood and even reduce stress. However, having a pet implies certain commitments and responsibilities. Animals need to take care of them, so if they cannot take charge, it is best not to have pets. People who abandon animals and leave them homeless are horrible. 2.Recycling? Recycling is very beneficial for our planet. Every time a container is recycled, the extraction of new raw materials is being avoided, besides to reducing energy consumption and the emission of greenhouse gases, causing climate change, which is a cause of climate change. 3.Violence on television? Television has become a strong influence on the character formation and behavior of children and adolescents. Many television programs have a high content of violence, which causes children and adolescents to acc...

Hi everyone, in this post I’m going to tell you about a postgraduate course that I would consider taking in the future. At the end of my career I would like to take two courses. First is a course in wild area and Nature Conservation. Conservation of nature is an issue that must be taken seriously, since it is our basic requirement to live by providing us air, water, land, sunlight and plants. Currently, the accelerated processes of urbanization, industrialization, land use change and high tourist demand cause a progressive reduction of wild areas, which is why it is necessary to have greater knowledge on issues related to conservation of nature to ensure that all these continue to be available in abundance. I would like to do this course abroad, I have always wanted to know other countries, so it would be great to combine tourism with my desire to continue studying nature. On the other hand, I have always caught my attention the different languages that exist in the world, so I wou...

Holidays

Hi everyone, today I’m going to talk about my best holidays. Well, my best holidays until today were a long time ago in a town of the south of Chile, in Curacautín. At that time I went with my mom, my dad and the family of a friend of my dad. I was around 7 years old and remember it was a very beautiful place. The house where we stayed was located very close to the mountain range, from there we could see the Lonquimay volcano, it was amazing.   The weather there was very cold but that did not stop me from playing all day with my friend. There we rode a bicycle, we went to explore the forests and played in the snow. Also, during those days it was my friend's birthday, so we had a great time! Our stay in Curacautin was about a week. A week of fun of which I have beautiful memories. Bye!
Hi bloggers, in this post I’m going to tell you about the careers that I once wanted to study. When I was at school I wanted to study   kinesiology, but in the secondary I discarded this option,   because I realized that I don’t   like the medicine and all connected with this. During high school, the nature, catch my eye a lot, I realized that I liked so much, because since childhood I have traveled to south with my family, so always have had contact with nature. So at that moment had in mind two career options for study at university. The first was forestry and the second option was engineering in natural resources, both careers I liked so much and that's why I was very indecisive.   Finally I decided to study forestry because I like the forests and learn about them, I can understand how the tree responds to what happens around, among others. Besides this career has several field trips to very interesting places, in which one can learn in a better way about nature...

Hi everyone, this is the first blog session of this last semester. Today I’m going to write about a topic related to countries. I would like to visit several countries, I hope I could travel all over the world, well but inside my favorites places are: United States (especially New York City) and Switzerland. In first place, I would like to visit New York because I have seen pictures of this city and I think it’s beautiful, especially in winter, its lights, its skyscrapers, its museums, the central park and of course the statue of liberty catch my eye a lot. For me, the city that never sleeps is an interesting option to study. In second place, I would like to visit Switzerland because it has beautiful landscapes, its mountains and vegetation are really wonderful, and besides there I could see northern lights and eat a lot of Swiss chocolate! I hope that someday I can travel to some of these beautiful places with my family or friends.
